Wed. Wisdom: Lean on the trees

My mind and schedule have been busy with plans for peace.

I'm working on creating a live event or few in Missoula this year, and I'm so excited. I'll share more about it soon.

And there have been some challenges to juggle, not least the weight of world events. These are turbulent times, and there's more I want to say to that in a future email.

Today, I want to share a resource for getting grounded that's accessible to many people, and free.

When my life has a mix of joys and forebodings, I often turn to trees for help with getting steady.

Sometimes I enjoy sitting under trees, but I also notice I feel better if I only pause for a moment to appreciate their beauty. Or the shade, clean air, or fruits or nuts trees provide.

If you can spend time with a tree or pause to admire a tree today, this week, that's a way to get support with peace.

Trees don't make my challenges vanish.

But they do make it easier for me to face them. Trees help me sharpen my focus and think more clearly. Somehow, I also feel stronger after sitting by a tree.

If there aren't trees around or it's too dark, you can spend time with the pine trees in Yellowstone National Park via one of my guided nature meditations on YouTube:

Get Grounded

That's all for this week. Please reply with any questions or comments about peace!.

Thanks for some of your precious time and attention today.

In peace,

Juniper

This email was sent from Missoula, Montana so . . .

Thank you to the First Nations of what is now called Western Montana: the Bitterroot Séliš (Salish), the Ql̓ispé (Kalispel), and the Ksanka (Kootenai) - you can read more about all 3 nations on their website.

I also want to give thanks to the Amskapi Piikani (Blackfeet) and the Apsáalooke (Crow) First Nations because I’ve been to and enjoyed their traditional homelands in recent years. Many thanks for your hospitality.
